Find all our extras for your boating holidays with Riverly. On this page we provide you with all the prices and explanations about these optional services and we give you the possibility to book them using the forms provided in the “orders” section. Please note that our bases do not accept responsability for theft, loss or damage to your car while it is parked. Parking is always at the owner’s risk. The fee charged is for parking your car and not for caretaking. We do NOT accept responsability for any injuries to people either. The towpaths along the canals encourage the use of bicycles. They allow you to move away from the river or canal, when you stop, so that you can discover the surrounding country side. They are very useful to go shopping in the cities and towns nearby. The bases have more than 1000 bicycles for you to choose from. However, on some bases and on some dates the number of bicycles may become limited, in particular for children’s bikes. It is better to reserve your bicycles in advance directly with your departure base. Of course we always try to provide the bikes ordered in advance, but cannot guarantee it. Bicycles are not insured against theft, you are responsible for them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Type of bikes available at our departure bases:<\/span>
\n> Adult bikes: 24″ or 26″ wheels, 3 or 4 speeds, mud guard, luggage carrier. Baby carriers and attachable shopping baskets available on request, free of charge. No helmets available.<\/span>
\n> Folding bikes: 16″ wheels (no helmet, no basket available)<\/span>
\n> Mini bikes for children: 16″ or 18″ wheels, single speed, for children from 5 to 12. Helmets for children can be supplied for free. It is necessary to order them in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n> In Germany, Italy and Holland we only provide folding bikes. Other types of bikes are not available.<\/span>

      The amount depends on the boat model you are hiring and represents the maximum amount you could have to pay in the event of damage to your boat or to a third party\u2019s boat<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Every rental automatically includes the Bronze option. For even greater peace of mind, you can choose a deposit waiver option<\/strong>. For a fixed fee, the Silver and Gold<\/strong> options considerably reduce, or even eliminate, your excess in the event of damage.<\/span><\/p>\n

      The options in detail<\/span><\/h4>\n

      • Bronze option \u2013 included<\/strong>: A deposit of \u20ac2,500 to \u20ac4,500 depending on the boat model<\/strong> is blocked on your bank card. In the event of damage, this amount corresponds to your maximum excess.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Silver option \u2013 (price \u20ac130 to \u20ac180, non-refundable)<\/strong>: The blocked deposit and maximum excess are reduced to between \u20ac400 and \u20ac1,000 depending on the boat<\/strong> in the event of damage.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Gold option \u2013 (price \u20ac230 to \u20ac280, non-refundable)<\/strong>: Zero excess for complete peace of mind!<\/strong> A \u20ac600<\/strong> deposit is blocked on your bank card and may only be used to cover any damage falling under the exclusions specified in the contract (see list below). For damage covered by the insurance, no excess will be charged.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Choose with complete flexibility<\/strong>: you can take out or change your option up to the day of departure<\/strong>, directly at your departure base.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Available at our Riverly bases<\/strong>: the options are available at all Riverly-operated bases<\/strong>. Specific conditions may apply at partner bases.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Some exclusions apply<\/strong>: the insurance cover does not apply to the exclusions set out in the contractual terms and conditions<\/strong>, detailed below, including cases of gross negligence or failure to comply with navigation rules.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS<\/span><\/h4>\n

          The following items, referred to as \u201cExclusions\u201d, are not covered under the boat insurance or by the deposit waiver.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

          In the event of damage to the rented boat, or damage caused to a third party or property as a result of any of these exclusions, the hirer remains financially liable and must pay the cost of the damage.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

          List of exclusions applicable :<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Failure to comply with navigation rules (for example, sailing outside authorised areas, at night or in winds above Force 3 Beaufort; this list is not exhaustive).<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Ignoring navigation bans, restrictions or instructions given by our teams.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Operating the boat while intoxicated, under the influence of drugs or any substance, including medication, that affects awareness or the ability to react.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Providing false information.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Deliberate damage to the boat or any malicious act committed by, or with the involvement of, any person on board.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Illegal or improper use of the boat, its equipment or its accessories.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Using the boat for purposes other than personal leisure.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Exceeding the maximum number of passengers authorised by the boat operator.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Damage to the bimini or canopy (fabric and\/or frame).<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Damage to the balcony\/balconies.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Damage and costs resulting from grounding (e.g. boat towing).<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Costs resulting from abandoning the boat.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Late return of the boat.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Assistance required due to toilets blocked by the crew.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
          • Loss, theft or damage to rental bicycles, or to any optional equipment rented at the same time as the boat (barbecue, Wi-Fi box, etc.).<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Please note that the hirers, their personal belongings and their own third-party liability are not covered by the boat insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Regardless of the option chosen, in the event of an accident, you must complete a claim form and inform your departure base as soon as the incident occurs. Additional charges may apply if you refuse to complete the claim form.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

            Deposit requirements<\/span><\/h4>\n

            • Please make sure you have sufficient funds available in your account on the day of departure.<\/span><\/li>\n

              How does it work?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

              1. Your boat is handed over to you with a full tank of biofuel<\/strong>, providing an average autonomy of two to three weeks depending on the model and the region.<\/span><\/li>\n
              2. To make your return as smooth as possible, our teams take care of refilling the tank for you upon your arrival at the base.<\/span><\/li>\n
              3. Your consumption is billed based on the actual engine hours recorded by the boat’s hour meter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Payment Terms & Pricing<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

                Unless you have subscribed to a Serenity Package<\/strong> (which includes fuel), consumables (fuel, gas, etc.) are billed via our Eco-Navigation Pack<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

                • A fuel deposit is required at departure, based on the duration of your stay.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • Upon return, the amount is adjusted based on your actual hours of navigation.<\/span><\/li>\n
                • The hourly rate for the Eco-Pack is displayed at every base. You have to pay a lump sum per animal. If you are using a taxi for your transfer, in France you must always transport your pets in a cage provided by you. The return transfer after your cruise can be organised as well, of course. Please note the following information on taxi-transfers:
                  \nThe mentioned prices are valid for the regular routes between 8 am to 7 pm, except Sundays and holidays. These prices can change at any time and are not under our control! Please note that if your delay exceeds one hour, the taxi company may charge an extra per waiting hour compared to the rate available on our website. In some cases you will be asked a supplement per suitcase, pet or trailer. You would have to pay directly the driver and in cash only.You can book the transfers from\/to the base to\/from the airport or train station at the base 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Please send them your request by fax or e-mail and mention your name, file number, type of boat, number of persons, departure day, information about the flight (flight number, plane arriving from, arrival time and airport) or train (arrival time and station) as well as a credit card number as guarantee. In case of a \u201cno show\u201d, the transfer will be debited, if it wasn\u2019t cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. It is not possible to reserve the transfers by phone.<\/p>\n

                  \nLess than 14 days before your departure, it will not be possible to book a transfer.                   On some routes, the links by train are excellent, quicker and more economical. From the base, a taxi can drive you quickly to the train station; just ask for details.
                  \nIf you choose the taxi transfer, you have two possibilities:
                  \n> Transfer on the day of the arrival at the base: you leave your vehicle at the arrival base. Please order your taxi to the departure base one week in advance, by e-mail or through the\u00a0form.
