Starting out formalities:

Departure days between 2 and 6pm.

Return day between 8 and 9am.

Boarding:

As soon as the boat is ready.

On site:

WC and shower free of charge at the harbour office, pick-nick area.
At the port: bakery and grocery store.

How to get to the base

Access:

  • Access A9-E15-E80 follow A709 Montpellier and take exit 30 Montpellier-Sud.
  • Gare Sud de France: Take the shuttle bus (1.20euro) to Place de France. Take tramway 1 towards Mosson to Port Mariane, then tramway 3 towards Lattes Centre. Then walk 5 min along a footpath to the marina (approx. 45 min journey).
  • Gare St-Roch: Take line 3 towards Lattes center, then walk 5 min to the marina (approx. 35 min journey).
  • Montpellier-Méditerrannée airport (6 km).

Information on the waterways

Waterways:
On the Lez and the Canal du Rhône à Sète, the few locks are automatic. Important notice: the lift bridge at Frontignan is opened only for a few minutes twice a day (9.30 am and 4 pm). The Étang de Thau cannnot be crossed when the wind is stronger than 3 beaufort.

There are lock keepers on the automatic lock of the Canal du Midi. They are also automatic on the Canal de la Robine. Locks are open from 9 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 7 pm in high season, in low season until 6 pm. On the 1st May the locks are only open on the Lez.
